About Us - USTA

U.S. Tae Kwon Do Academy’s unique style of martial arts instructional comprises a complete martial arts system. Our instructors offer more than just the art of Tae Kwon Do, they also offer students the opportunity to gain confidence, learn self defense along with the physical training of kickboxing, grappling (ground defense), and much more.

There are many reasons to join U.S. Tae Kwon Do Academy; here are just a few:

  • SELF-DEFENSE: You never know when you may be attacked. Since we normally do not carry guns or other weapons, a most effective way to defend ourselves and our loved ones is “empty hand fighting” and Tae Kwon Do reveals the ancient secrets of this martial art. Knowledge of these secrets can be life saving in times of danger.
  • HEALTH: Tae Kwon Do is far more than just defensive methods. It is a superb means of mental and physical development. Tae Kwon Do practitioners are noted for their excellent health gained from the discipline and patience required by the art.
  • SELF CONFIDENCE & POISE: Tae Kwon Do first and foremost requires that all students be polite and respectful and never use their knowledge for playful purposes or reckless harm. Yet, a true student is able to dispel fear.

Life is a big project that requires outstanding individuals to make the best out of it. Therefore, I would like to dedicate special thanks to those people who played a major role in my life and helped me to be who I am now. Such people deserve special recognition in my growth and development as an individual, student, master of martial arts and author.
I wish to give sincere thanks to my mother and father for all their work in providing me with the best manners and education; they both inspired me daily to appreciate life. May Allah (God) bless both of them for all the work that they have done for me throughout my life, my father’s support and years of hard work to provide for me and his great contribution to my character which has made me who I am now. Mother: I am thankful for even the smallest thing that you used to do for me, I am thankful for even the bread that you used to bake every morning before I went to school. I look back on my childhood and thank the LORD above for everything you gave me, but mostly for your love – all that I am my parents made me.

Special thanks to my all time best friend who was and still is my Martial Art partner Master Ezzedeen Alsharif, my knowlege in Tae Kwon Do, Self-defense, Arnis, Kenjutsu and Jujitsu. Master Mahmmoud Abd Alaziz & Master Wali Islam for their friendship, assistance, and input to Martial Arts. Special thanks to Master Nick McDonald who selflessly gives his knowledge and time to my development in the Martial Arts. Special thanks to all the USTI. Without you, I would not be able to travel and learn from the world’s greatest Martial Arts Masters.
Special thanks and gratitude to all my USTA Team students. It is because of you that I challenge myself to learn more and bring it back to you.

Special thanks to my wife for her unconditional support and encouragement, without her I would not be where I am now. She added a new meaning of life to me, she provided me with all the help and knowledge that I needed. She has been always good in all the troubling times and easy times without any complaints or discouragement. She has been all and everything that I have ever dreamed of in my life.

Special thanks to my children, who motivated me to go beyond my ability and to accomplish the highest level in martial arts. As they are now being introduced to Martial Arts; I wish you all the best and I hope that I will be able to provide you with as positive experience as others have provided for me. Special thanks Grandmaster Yousef Thabet, who introduced me to Martial Arts.
